Thank you to LightWeight Tiles in Lydney my dream is heading to reality. After buying a garden room with my share of inheritance money after losing my mother. I was so upset at the quality I was distraught. Lightweight tiles came to the rescue. Not only did the team in the office – Susan and Carol help us with the estimate and order, but we were shown how the tiles are produced and got to meet the whole team, who were really informative and helpful.
As a bonus Charlie and Josh even spent a couple of evenings after work putting the tiles on for me. The glazing is almost complete, and it is so lovely and warm that I can’t wait to spend more of my time relaxing inside, remembering my Mum in a lovely environment. Thank you so much

I just wanted to say how good your product was when I used it recently .
I took down an old wooden conservatory and replaced it with a brick one that had a wooden roof . The front of the conservatory roof sat on a wall plate on top of the French door frame and I didn’t want the weight of concrete tiles on top of that,so I researched and found your product.
The videos of how the product was made and installed and how durable they were was a deciding factor in me choosing yourself over other similar product I had seen.
I have to say the service from the lady who took the order to the prompt delivery was 1st class and friendly , and the price was a lot less than I had thought was going to be .
The product itself was top quality and installation was as simple as it could be with everything fitting together without any problems and the verge trims finished it off fantastically and all the people who have seen it have commented on how good it looks .
I have been a building site manager for 25 years plus so have a good idea of things and how they should work and I have to say I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or use your product again.
So well done for developing such a great product and wishing your company every success in the future.

Many thanks

Fantastic service by you and the haulier. Thank you.
I shall not be starting the roof just yet as I have a number of preliminary jobs to do first but I will update you as the work progresses.

Good Evening.
I thought you might like to see some of the sheds in my garden that have been re-roofed with your lightweight tiles. In some of the pictures, you can see how use has been made of your eaves guard as a sill for the glazing units.
You have a first class product and I would recommend it, At 75 years old I was able to re-roof all of the sheds my self as they are so light and easy to use. As you can see there is one more shed to be done, and with a few leftovers from the other sheds, I was able to make a shelter for the robo mower!
A pleasure to do business with you all.
Regards,

Brown Outbuilding Before After BS 2
This old building in our garden is known to us as the Ranch House. It is known to be at least 75 years old and may well be more. The roof in particular was falling apart, it was covered in corrugated bitumen sheeting which was well past its used by date. We had two choices; demolish it or renovate it. We decided to renovate but felt that it deserved something better than corrugated sheeting on the roof. This was why we selected Lightweight Tiles after several email exchanges with Laura and Susan plus going to meet Laura at the Renovation Show in Birmingham.

The hard part was completely rebuilding the roof structure as we decided to change the pitch of the roof. Fitting the tiles was easy. Two of us fitted 70 tiles on the long side in 5 hours which included a leisurely lunch and several cups of tea. I fitted the remaining 30 on the other side on my own in about the same time. I have one tip though, it is worth drilling a small pilot hole for each screw, you can then fit the screws much more neatly.

We are very pleased with the transformation, I keep going down the garden to look at it!

Hi, if anyone is in any doubt about this product, please don't be. The tiles and associated finishing components we ordered to finish a new oak porch. They were delivered on time and were exactly what we were looking for. Big thanks to the team at Lightweight Tiles for all their valued assistance and tech advice.

Before and after Brown Gable PD
After coming across your product on eBay we then made an enquiry directly with your office.

I'd like to say, how fantastic and pleased I am with my new lightweight conservatory roof purchased from you.

We have insulated the roof with 50mm Kingspan inside and out, which has vastly improved its usability in cold weather (and I would think in hot weather also), and also made it much more visually appealing to the eye.

Thank you for your prompt service and delivery for a top class product.

Red lean to before after
I had to increase the pitch as it was insufficient for water to run off of the tiles, I built a rise of additional 15 degrees onto the small pitch already on the triple walled roof. This was taking the front edge to rise to 200mm at the back, then flasbanded and bonded to the roof tile. The customer found that the conservatory wasn't useful to them before and this has made it into a additional room, with a bed settee as a guest room. The customer was absolutely thrilled with the transformation, and I was pleased with a trouble free installation.

Grey lean to before after SB
This was the first time we had used these tiles. The delivery arrived as promised. The project was to re roof a lean-to extension. The whole job went very well, the tiles fitted easily and the job was completed in one weekend.
Next job is a double garage roof and again we will use Lightweight Tiles.

Brown L Shaped Conservatory Before after PF
I had been looking for a few years for a new roof for my conservatory as it was too hot in summer and too cold in winter to use. I had had quotes over £11,000 for a new complete roof, removing the glass, which I thought was pointless. The glass acts as insulation and would be a huge waste of money because it would of been just thrown in the bin.

Being a Mechanical Engineer, I worked out that if I could find something lightweight and looked like the roof fitted to my house, it would be a great idea for the new roof. The weight loading for the conservatory was worked out to withstand the extra load of a few feet of snow, turned to ice, so I knew the extra weight of a lightweight roofing system would be fine.

I found Light Weight Tiles, http://www.lightweighttiles.co.uk/ by chance, on searching the net. When I saw that the tiles weighed in at 6 kg per square metre, I knew they were not a problem for my conservatory and with the choice of different finishes, I was able (having purchased the sample pack) to choose a tiles that matched my house roof.

I could of fitted the tiles myself but felt it was a better idea to use one of their recommended fitters.

After striking a great deal with the fitters, they came and did the job. It only took 6 hours to do my 28 square metre conservatory and it looked fantastic. I did have the inside done at the same time with simple white panelled pvc covering, which helped with deflect ting the light and finished the job off perfect.

I am so pleased with the finished roof and it has made our conservatory useable all year round.

I would highly recommend Light Weight Tiles to anyone wanting a simple, cheap and beautiful way to turn their conservatory into a useable room.

And the added bonus is, the tiles are made from recycled materials.
